Teaching

Two good things to do while teaching one-on-one.

  1. Explain the material.
  2. More importantly, give your student time to practice the material.
I can't count the number of classes I've been in where the teachers expect that by talking at the students for enough time, the students will eventually understand.

Yeah, I agree that is very important. Some people can learn pretty well by hearing. Some learn better by reading, some by doing. Even if a person understands something, the practice helps them remember it, and make more connections with other topics.
